Orientation: What is ASPIRE? We will review what the program is, workshops, and the fellowship week in DC during the National Festival (selected students will be announced at the Awards Ceremony).
Here we set the table for a week exploring the wilds of arts journalism and criticism. It’s a realm where everyone from all disciplines and experience levels is more than welcome to come explore and learn and find your voice. This introductory session is all about getting acquainted and easing into the process. You'll have a chance to meet each other and your instructor, share what you hope to learn by the end of these workshops, and then take part in a series of fun guided meditations and interactive exercises focused on sharpening your ability to listen to others.
